While math appears objective, mathematical language and presentation can be used to deceive. Mathematics arguments depend on assumptions and rules of logic; there may seem to be no room for deception. However, assumptions and presentation of the results are open to distortions, both intentional and inadvertent. These data distortions show how math can be used to confuse.
